bobnsofi Posted September 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Tequila, Saddles, and Sandals. We have not been on your tour, but in Mazatlan, a "Tequila, Saddles, and Sandals" tour screams out Stone Island. The cruise lines do a fantastic job of safely entertaining cruise line guests; and its a great way to meet your fellow shipmates. If you can well afford it, doing stone island thru the cruise line is a great idea. If you want to save $$$, take the short walk to stone island, ride horses, get as much sandal time as you can handle, the Tequilla flows with minimal $, and we usually bounce around and chat with the many fun Canadian snowbirds (we cruise visit in winter) Stone Island water taxi pier ($2pp round trip) Stone Island On out last visit, the cruise lines were staging way down the beach in the RV park Palapa, A great place to visit for us anyway (rv is our #1 past time) Cruise line area on Stone Island
Crewmates Posted September 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2010 anyone taken this excursion? Tequila, Saddles, and Sandals. how long is the tour and how did you like it? About 3 years ago we took a RCL tour with a different title but I think the same tour. We went inland for about an hour to a town named "Noria" (I think.) There we went to a saddle shop and saw them make Mexican saddles and then went to another place in Noria that made sandals. After that, we jumped in the bus and went to a tequila factory. I don't remember if lunch was included. The tour lasted five or six hours. If we are talking about the same tour, it was a pretty good tour - been on better and have been on a lot worse.
