Solstice: Sept 26th or Oct 3rd?

After having to cancel my August and September cruises it looks like things are finally settling down at work. I'm now looking at the 2nd person for 50% sales on Celebrity and seeing good Concierge class & Above pricing for either the Sept 26th or Oct 3rd Solstice sailing. The are both priced the same currently so looking for advice on which one would have better weather? I'm leaning towards the Oct 3rd both for weather and to give work a bit more time to settle down. But, is October any better than Sept in terms of storms/hurricanes?

I would not base my decision on the projected weather. The average difference in weather/hurricanes for a distance one week apart is minimal. The late September cruise would (on average) have a tiny higher average temp and the early October cruise would (on average) have a tiny less chance of a hurricane.

I dont think 1 week is going to make much of a difference weatherwise!!! Its still hurricane season either way. Come join us, we are sailing on Sept 26th aboard the Solstice!!!!!:):)

John,check the prices on the Oct 23 sailing. The prices are great. We could do CC for less than what we paid for our balcony.

There probably won't be significant weather difference temperature wise. It's a crap shoot hurricaine wise. If you're flying, that could be your deciding factor. Have a great time either way!!!:)

Weather aside, you might want to first decide if you would rather go to the Western Caribbean on Sept. 26 or the Eastern on Oct. 3.
