lmtrn2001 Posted September 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2010 We've already done Cave Tubing twice, so that's out. Have Zip lined in Roatan multiple times, so that's out. So, what do you guys think would be the best thing to do, those two things ruled out?? Thanks for your help!! :D
clackey Posted September 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2010 Either a trip to Bannister Island or Ruins. Altun Ha and River Wallace looks good and has decent reviews.
seahunters2000 Posted September 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2010 We've already done Cave Tubing twice, so that's out. Have Zip lined in Roatan multiple times, so that's out. So, what do you guys think would be the best thing to do, those two things ruled out?? Thanks for your help!! :D We were in Belize in 2000 and booked a trip to see the ruins at Lamanai. First you take a bus from Belize City up to the New River. Then board a small boat 4-8 people for a cruise up the New River where you will see soo much wildlife. Such as crocs, bats, and many species of birds. Then once you reach the ruins you walk through the jungle and the ruin site your guide will explain & point out everything. We even saw about 5 or 6 Howler Monkeys. They were crashing through the jungle tree tops. They were moving so fast it was hard to count them. Back then we were allowed to climb the pyramid, not sure if you can still do that. Once at the top you can see for miles, the views were unbelievable. If you look to the north you could see Mexico, & if you looked to the south you could see Gatamala. We still talk about this tour today.
