Trip Insurance thru AARP

I must be missing something because I went to the AARP website and they suggested booking through an online broker like insuremytrip or squaremouth or a travel agent or tour operator.

That's probably a better idea any way. Since the plans out there are so different and no one's needs are exactly the same it's impossible for AARP to have picked a plan that's right for all of their members. Can't be done.

When you purchase a cruise through AARP, whether online or on the phone, they offer trip insurance.

I'm sure they do. What I'm saying is that the plan they offer may be a terrible choice for some of their clients. The same would be true no matter which plan they recommend.
