Disembarkation - Rome

My sister and I are on a Med Cruise next month. The Star Princess will dock in Rome at 4am at the end of our cruise. What time would be the earliest we could dismebark? My sister and I want to head into Rome before the rush hour. Many thanks for any advice.

If you elect to be a walk-off passenger, you can disembark as soon as the ship is cleared. Probably anytime between 6 and 7 am isn't unreasonable - but Civitavecchia's a big port and can have plenty of ships docked in a single day, so go with the idea there may be delays.

I forgot to add we got to the airport a little before 8am. We were in line at the UA Air counters waiting for them to open up at 8 and there was a big clock right there. Other airlines counters were already open since they had flights earlier than ours.
