yojimbo Posted February 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2005 I just read that Cunard overbooked the world cruise and 12 passengers were denied boarding in Sydney. Ouch!! Apparently Cunard was generous in compensating the bumped passengers, but still.......... Does anyone have more details? Is overbooking standard practice for Cunard? garycarla Posted February 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2005 I just read the new release on this. They had 12 folks (couples?) that were turned away after they arrived in Sydney. I would have LOVED to be one of them. They got a free cruise on a Princess Ship for now. A free cruise in the future. There money back. And, Cunard paid their air, car and hotel expenses. WOW!
