hardingk Posted June 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2004 We are thinking about booking the AOS for next summer and want to get adjoining rooms. Has anyone who has ever sailed on the AOS had adjoining balcony rooms, tell me where the connecting door is located? On the Legend, the door was in the back of the room right next to the balcony, but on other ships that we have been on without balconys, the door was in the middle of the room, loseing some of the cabin space. Any advice is appricated! ___________________________ RCL~Legend 5/2004, Navigator 8/2003, Majesty 7/2003, Radiance 4/2003, Monarch 8/2002, Nordic Empress 8/2001 Celebrity~Century 7/2001 & 7/1998, Horizon 7/1991 Future Cruises: Enchantment of the Seas 8/30/2004 Brilliance of the Seas 1/14/2005 Mercury 4/7/2006 Till Belize on the Enchantment of the Seas! marciemi Posted June 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2004 I haven't sailed RCCL yet, but have read on these boards that the cabins with adjoining rooms have a chair in place of where the sofa is. I've also seen a pic of that on someone's webshots page. So it seems like it would be a short way inside the entrance - look at RCCL or travelocity for the 360 degree cabin view and imagine the sofa being replaced with a chair and door. jrm9999 Posted June 15, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 15, 2004 While I can't specifically say for sure, I do seem to remember the sofa being smaller or replaced with a chair to make room for the door. However one other consideration is that adjoining rooms have little to no sound insulation between them. Thus your children will hear almost every conversation you have and vice versa. Depending on their ages, you may want this. Just thought you might like to know this up front. - Jeff
