Late Upgrades

Good Afternoon (or good morning to those over the pond!)

 

We're due to sail out on 9th October and I called our travel agent to check if we could upgrade at this late stage.

 

I was told that I couldn't upgrade because it was too late, yet the are still selling rooms on our cruise...

 

I don't get how it can be 'too late' to upgrade :confused:

 

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

 

It was one of the Large UK travel agents we booked through which makes me suspect that they were being lazy and didn't check properly...

I sell travel. Unless the upgrade rooms are full, you can still upgrade.

Since they won't help you, and they won't let me do it since I didn't book it, call Royal Caribbean and ask for an upgrade.

I would also ask if the agency will get the commission on the upgrade since you are doing this yourself.

 

I don't believe in getting paid when the work isn't done.
