Thank you so much for the great reviews. The pictures only make them better. I look forward to reading the rest of them because we will be on the Freedom 11-06-10! We will be visiting the same ports as you, so I look forward to your honest opinion of the ports as well as the ship. Keep the coming!:)

Love your review and pictures . . only 130 days and counting. Wondering if you have the "fun times" and could either attach them or email them to me?

I do have the funtimes and will either be scanning them by this time next week or i will take a picture of them and post them. Hope you're enjoying!

Boarding Saturday for the Western Caribbean. Will be following this post closely in the next few days! Please comment on service - stewards/wait staff/etc. Thanks!!

Our room steward, Lloyd was fantastic! He remembered our names and said hello to us every time we saw him. Always asked us how our day was and always gave us towel animals and new ice 2 times a day. I could have not asked for more.

Our waiter and assistant waiter (I do not remember their names) were very nice. Not so talkative (but I don't think we were either), but we always had our waters filled to the top, was always offered bread and offered to pick which type of bread we wanted. Did not have any complaints.

Everytime we passed an employee in the hall, they were always cleaning. There was not once where I saw an employee (in the dining rooms, in the halls, at the bars, etc) just standing around. They were constantly moving and keeping up with the work to make the ship clean 24/7.

We were very impressed.

This is great! I'm sailing on the Freedom next month!

In the mixology contest picture do you know if the employee on the left side in sunglasses was nicknamed "Chicken"?

Do you know who the assistant cruise director was?

That was actually Sam (I don't know if his nickname was chicken) but he was the assistant cruise director. He was very funny, along with Ryan Fitzgerald (the cruise director).

I heard the biobay was awesome! We didn't do an excursion in many of the ports, only Saint Thomas-we did parasailing. I wanted so badly to do the baths in Tortola but we were trying to save money since we splurged (for us) on a balcony! I heard that the baths were beautiful. Next time I'm around that area I will definitly be going. I also wanted to do the atlantis excursion in nassau which I also heard was awesome too. Next time!

great pictures...what kind of camera did you shot with...did you do any type of photo processing...the colors are awesome!

It is a Sony Cybershot W330. I didn't do any photo processing. I love the camera! I take so many pictures on vacations and I usually just snap around so I'm glad they came out well :)

I was wondering how you two "young ones" booked a cabin....thought one of you had to be 25. Did you usually get carded in the casino or for drinks? Please don't take that as an insult. You're both very cute. ;)

Keep up the good review!

lol we look very young for our ages! We didn't get carded in the casino, but for drinks, maybe once or twice. I think once they slide the S&S card through and its accepted-i think it means you're of age.

But there was one time where Dillon ordered a drink and the girl at the bar took his card slid it through and gave him the reciept to sign and then asked for his ID. It was very strange. I had to run back to our cabin to get our ID's. Does anybody know why she would do that? I could have sworn if the cards go through, then that means we're of age.

When we were arriving in San Juan, we went onto our balcony to watch.

We actually arrived early in San Juan-I think by 4:30ish and once the excursions were off the ship, we got off at about 5PM or a little earlier. Very easy off, no lines at all (not like that would bother me anyways!)

I took some pictures around San Juan of the buildings and such as we were walking up to Fort San Cristobal.

One of the many stray cats we saw around San Juan-

The Fort closed at 6PM, we got there at about 5:10ish and it was only $3 each to explore the fort for the next 50 minutes so of course we did it. It was well worth it if you like history (which we do!)

The entrance to the fort-

And a few nice girls asked if we would like them to take our picture and of course I said yes!

I was very nevous about Dillon jumping up here and walking pretty far down (it was a pretty big drop at the end)

DSC00886.jpg

This was a very narrow entrance to one of the towers that kind of hang over the edge of the whole fort looking down of the ocean.

and our ship docked!

A monument (I cannot remember the name of it)

We walked back down to pretty much where we were docked for dinner and drinks and senor frogs.

The drinks were very good at senor frogs. I am not a big drinker and I really don't like the taste of alcohol too much. But I will drink some fruity drinks that you can't really taste the alcohol in! lol I had a strawberry daiquiri and a pina colada at senor frogs and both were very good. We ordered just an appetizer of chicken quesidillas since we both weren't that hungry and knew we could eat as much as we want on the ship! And I guess since our food was taking so long, they came around and gave us free shots of something blue. It didn't really taste like much alcohol, but it was good.

Some of the very friendly birds that were just outside of Senor Frogs. I got a few pics in before they said no pictures!! lol it was because they were taking pictures of people with the birds -it's probably how they made a little extra money.

DSC00960.jpg

And the ship of course all lit up before we got back onboard. The lines were a little longer to get back on because you have to put your stuff through the xray and go through a metal detector but it's not like we had anywhere to be! We were just excited to be on vacation. We could never understand how people can get so angry at the littlest things when you're on vacation to have a good time! We just figured if you go on vaca thinking you're going to have a bad time, then you will!

And this little guy was waiting for us for when we got back onboard!

Thanks for all of the photos. Do you happen to have a picture of the main pool or the adult only pool on the ship?

I don't have any pictures of the adult serenity area-we didn't spend much time there. It was a very busy area for people who wanted to just relax. We did walk buy it once or twice and it seemed very nice. There were at least 2 hot tubs-I believe there are more and many many places to lay out.

I have pictures of the timeless pool (which is the main pool out by the big tv screen and two hot tubs) and the endless hot tubs, but the pics are not great at all.

This is the pic of timeless pool (it was right in the center of all the action on the lido)

And this is the pic of the endless hot tubs. They kept these hot tubs hotter than the ones in the timeless area.

Saint Thomas was next. I heard a lot about it since my parents spent a week here last year. I heard all about the Jewelery stores and shopping St. Thomas has to offer and they were definitly right. Every corner you turned in Havensight there was another jewelery store.

Here are some pictures pulling into Saint Thomas-

I love this picture (I hope it looks as good on here as I think it does! lol)

and there was a very pretty rainbow that we saw when we look towards the back of the ship from our balcony

When we got off the boat, we went parasailing! We booked it through Carnival and it was $80 each and to us it was well worth it. The adventurous type she definitly try it sometime. I used to be afraid of heights (and still am a bit), but this excursion was very fun!
