CRUZCOOL Posted September 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2010 If I wanted to do something special for my DH for anniversary, do I have the travel agent set it up or do I do it when I board? Also, suggestions would be great. Not sure if the chocolate covered strawberries are worth it.
Gonzo70 Posted September 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Only you know what your husband would like. You can decide to order something in advance and have the TA handle it (but be sure to check on it once onbaord as there have been reports of the cruise line not receiving the order) or take care of it while onboard. Some people enjoy the romance type packages you can order; others view them as a waste of money (you have to decide which way your husband would see them). If it were me, I'd much prefer to celebrate with a nice dinner at a specialty restaurant then pay about the same for chocolate covered strawberries in the room - but everyone has different preferences. You could also look into a special excursion at one of the ports to celebrate - or you could bring some treats with you onto the cruise and tip your stateroom attendant a few bucks to set them up while you and your husband are at dinner. allenee Posted September 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Not sure about RCCL but on Carnival I just told our waiter what night and he had a cake for him. They also sang happy aniversary or happy birthday too.
wcook Posted September 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Also, suggestions would be great. I think the things that he will appreaciate most are those that can't be ordered through a travel agent.
