After enjoying such a fabulous meal, the previous week, at the Scarlett’s Steakhouse. We were all looking forward to going to the Sun King Steakhouse.

Peter did not want to wear his tux again, poor guy, his only formal wear was the tux, he had never expected on getting dressed up as many times as he did. I had brought two suits, several shirts and ties knowing that we had elegant nights, steakhouse nights, renewal of vows, etc. He had planned on two nights, tops. Anyway I went along and skipped the jacket for the night.

Tracy had the Grilled Portobello Mushrooms and Baked Onion Soup for starters while I had New England Crab Cake (very good), Lobster Bisque with Vintage Cognac (excellent) and Baby Leaf Spinach and Fresh Mushrooms (also very good).

It was a wonderful evening. Definitely more relaxing, not being stressed out, worrying about proposing in a busy dining room.:):):)

After dinner, the girls wanted to go shopping and Peter wanted to try out the Casino. I had been reluctant to gamble, in my previous cruises.

I play in a weekly Texas Hold'Em game back home, but was unfamiliar on how it's played in the casino. After getting instructions from one of the employees I sat down and gave it a go.

After about a hour of playing, I was happy to leave with a loss of $4.50. Peter was not so lucky at the Three Card Poker table.:(

After our poker session, Peter and I had a nightcap and then called it a night.

I love the deck zero photo. We went on the Carnival Dream (western Caribbean...loved Roatan!) while on the Dream we did the behind the scenes tour. My hubby turned 50 in Sept so the Behind the scenes tour was for his birthday present. We were all up and down deck 0 and even below that...it was truely amazing.

Some day we will do a behind the scene.

Whew!!! I'm all caught up. Thank for posting your first wedding pics. My Goodness....you two just keep getting better with age!

Royal Palms was my 2nd favorite beach after Half Moon Cay.

Nice to hear from you again, Thank you. I've heard so many nice things about Half Moon Cay, can't wait to go there some day.

Half Moon Cay was our favorite private island... we went there on a HAL cruise back about 10 years ago but that was before Carnival bought out HAL so I wonder about the changes... it was completely undeveloped when we went there, just lounge chairs and umbrellas and a few huts for shops and pure white sand.

cruisers like you who have come later and read the whole thing in one sitting.

That would be me too., Sat last night and got up to this page- Now that I am at work maybe I can catch up with the rest of it.

The review is better then any ole book I pick up from the Library for sure.

We sailed teh Freedom in February 2010 but book the Valor for February 2012. Booked the Pride for February 2011 so looking forward to reading THAT review also.

Thanks for taking the time.

Can't believe the size of that cheese cake! Everything looks yummy. The lamb and prime rib were also huge portions.

I had that cheesecake in the steakhouse on the Dream on our last cruise. It is indeed HUGE.....and it tastes even better than it looks!!

Simple answer No, Sensation, Destiny and Imagination looked great. Destiny was Tracy's favorite ship.

By the way we also live in the Woodstock area, viewed your wife's review. We have seen the two of you around town. :)

Small world. I grew up in Grand Falls and took many trips to Woodstock. Now I live just outside of Saint John.

When we first got onboard, Deck 0, I snuck a photo of the crew's corridor.

We then played a couple of rounds of mini golf. It was funny to watch Rosemary play, after striking the ball once to start the hole, on the next shot she would use her putter like a hockey stick, pushing and guiding the ball into the hole. We gave up trying to correct her and just watched in amusement as she completed each hole.

We like doing mini golf and have noticed my baseball hat likes to blow off on upper decks of ship-did you find that a problem? OR is it real tight?

Love the wedding photos...we have the same tree pose as our favorite wedding photo!

Now want to see a current mounty photo. Too bad couldn't wear uniform on ship for wedding & formals (Unless there is a rule, or Tracy would have known something was up), you would have been an even more of a head turner as a couple.

Beautiful wedding photos Mike. You & Tracy are quite an inspiration to what marriage is all about. Togetherness, family, support & most of all, love. I wish all those young couples 1st starting out together on their journey could read what you have written so far.

Thank you Rotnkid49, I appreciate everything you have said, makes it all worthwhile.

Thanks for posting the wedding pictures. You are truly a beautiful couple. Now what will we all do when your cruise review ends? You have us all on the edge of our seats.

Thank you mojo2rusty, I glad my review is still keeping you on the edge of your seat. It's been fun.

I found your review this morning & have been reading from the beginning for the past 3 hours straight... laundry and housework will just have to wait! Sadly, I must log-off now and take my dad to his doctor's appointment! Can't wait to get home and finish this wonderful read! :D

BTW ~ You have a gorgeous family (and friends, too)! I too feel inspired to "lose a few" before the next cruise! And... to ask my DH about renewing our vows next March (we're sailing the Miracle for our 15th anniversary)! Nice to see that Carnival added "sunshades" to the round loungers... that's a new addition since we sailed her in April.

Kind regards ~ Leah

Thursday, Sept 9th : Ocho Rios, Jamaica (Arrival 7:30 a.m - Departure 3:30 p.m)

We got up at 9:00 a.m to a beautiful view of Ocho Rios. We woke up the kids but they were not interested in getting up and going into port. We had breakfast on the Lido Deck by ourselves and disembarked to check out the town, without any preconceived plans.
