Power Snorkel - Should we buy a snorkel?

My fiancee and I are going on our honeymoon cruse in a couple weeks. We're doing the Power Snorkel excursion in Grand Turk. Has anyone done this before, and if so, would you recommend us buying a "dry snorkel" and bringing it with us, or just use the tour's snorkel? I imagine we'll want to go down under water quite a bit with the power thing, and don't necessarily want my mouth full of seawater the whole time.

The "dry" snorkels are generally more comfortable than the rental gear. The rental gear is usually the cheapest you can find. I would encourage you to buy your own mask/fins/snorkel, and take them with you. If you find a nice beach at one of the stops you have gear to snorkel with.

The Power Snorkel is different. I have seen people have trouble with it. You are pulled through the water with a small electric motor and new people hold it too high and get the "prop" wash in their face. It can be fun but it can also be more work than just regular snorkeling.
