Question Re: Les Hauts de Cagnes

DH and I will be in Monaco in May and this will be our second visit. We will have a tour guide and have been to the Casino, Eze and the normal 1st time visitor stops. Would you please give me your thoughts on the following two places? Also, if you had to chose one, which would you prefer: Saint Paul de Vince & Les Hauts de Cagnes?

Thanking you in advance for your input.

If you are going to be in Cannes in May you could check to see if your dates coincide with the Cannes Film Festival because Cannes is really jumping during those dates and even if you do not want to spend a full day in town you should allow a little time at the end of your touring to soak up the atmosphere.

With good reason, St Paul de Vence is the better known of the two, but Les Hauts has its own charms. I would have thought that if you have enough time, both of these lovely places could be visited.

Another option might be to put together a tour which includes eg Les Hauts de Cagnes, Antibes, Biot, Mougins, and if time allows, Valbonne and Opio. The distance is not great but includes several attractive small towns each of which has its particular charms. There should be info on all of these online, might help you decide.

Tough decision.

Thank you! We will be there a few days before the film festival so I'm hoping we'll beat the crowds arriving later in the week.

I appreciate the reply!

So very sorry.

You must be slightly confused by my reply, but believe it or not, I only NOW just realised you wrote that you were going to be in Monaco.....I had stupidly thought/read it as CANNES and my reply was based on your visiting Cannes.

Senior moment par excellence...........
