Don Haynes Posted September 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2010 Is there a pool deck area near the pools which isn't slippery on any ship?

sdmike Posted September 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2010 Thanks Mike...I appreciate your reply and by the way I enjoyed your review. Thanks. Allow me to also say that the deck on Epic didn't seem any hotter or more slippery than others I've been on. However, since there are so many slides and water effects there tends to be more water on the deck than most ships. This COULD make it more slippery simply because there is water around, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. Just walk normally, no running, that kind of stuff. There were crew members on the deck with squeegies removing the standing water as fast as possible since the drains didn't quite seem to be in the right places. Also, the stairs up to the slides tend to be wet because the people going up the stairs are wet. :) Again, nothing unusual, just normal care. Trvlgenie Posted September 30, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted September 30, 2010 We were a group of 19 passengers, five of which slipped. I was very careful and walked on the mats when possible. I slipped while stepping from one mat to the other. Spent four days in a wheelchair.

I just ordered some flats with rubber soles from Land's End just to be safe!

Trvlgenie Posted September 30, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I was barefoot but saw people in flip flops and sneakers fall. I even saw someone slip on the step in the pool. Other than that we all enjoyed the cruise. The EPIC is awesome and the bathroom set up was fine.
