Charge/fee to add our son after booking?

My husband and I are planning to take a cruise on the Spendor in April 2011 - booking directly through Carnival. If, after booking, we decide to include our teenage son, would Carnival charge a change fee in addition to the 3rd person cost?

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Nope just as long as the room you have booked is set up to accomidate 3 guests in the cabin.

Nope, there is no fee to add an additional person to your cabin. You may have your cabin assignment changed due to the additional person, however.

The answer to this is almost always no. Even if you book ES fares, unless you are forced to go to a lower cabin category there is no fee. You can always switch cabins within your category without charge, and there is not a penalty for adding a third person.

No fee, and if the room you have booked will not accomodate a third person you can move within the category or up a category. I just had to add my cousin to my sisters room on our July cruise, no fees but they did have to move up a category to get a quad.

We have two people booked for an October cruise. I thought about adding a third person and it was going to be very expensive because the room we are in is set up for two people. Prices have gone up since we booked and if we upgrade to a cabin for 3 (I couldn't find any in our same category) we pay more for the first two passengers in addition to the third person fare.

There is not always a cabin for 3 in your category available when you decide to add that extra person. If that happens you would pay going rate for the next category that has a triple available.

We did not book my son when we first paid for our cruise. He is waiting on orders to ship out to the Air Force. Carnival gladly booked him, just had to pay todays price for a 3rd guest.

I am about to book our next cruise but cant afford the deposit for 3 folks right now. Just going to book 2 and, at the end of January, when I get my taxes, I was going to pay for a third person in full. If our cruise is in mid February; is it possible to do this that close to the sailaway date?

 

(my post sounds like that old math problem...if two trains left point A and point B at the exact same time...)
