ugh07 Posted October 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2010 Ill be on the Dream next March and while I know that we don't know the policy on the Dream, I'm wondering if Disney typically keeps it's pools and slides open while in port. PopFla Posted October 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2010 Yes, the pools are open while in port; we stayed aboard last time in Nassau, and it was nice having less competition for the lounges, hot tubs, etc. I'm 99.9% sure the kids' slide at the Mickey Pool was also open. Some cruise lines use sea water in their pools, and are required to empty them while in port; sea water in many ports can be pretty nasty. DCL uses fresh water, so that's not an issue. No official word yet whether AquaDuck will be open while in port, but I strongly suspect it will be. It, too, will use fresh water.
