Best snorkeling in Antigua?

We did a lobster lunch snorkel tour that was wonderful we went to a couple of snorkel spots then bird island for lunch(beautiful) and then to starfish garden for more snorkeling. it's a wonderful tour and Glen the owner and Mario are great. it is a little more expensive than some tours but it is a daytour and you get a marvelous lobster lunch. well worth the price.

Often snorkeling from the beach is not as good. Beach = sand, and sand usually means silt and not good visibility, and not as much coral growth. Usually snorkeling is better from the boat, a bit of way out.

That said, the better diving/snorkeling, with better coral growth and fish, is at the south end of Antigua. Last time we had 6 people, and hired a van taxi to take us to the English Harbour, and did boat snorkeling/diving from there. After that we continued with the van tour of the island before returning to ship. Most of the other beach/snorkeling locations close to the port, do not offer as good snorkeling. But the snorkeling can still be decent.
