enchantment of the seas

Recommended Posts

have you been on this ship?

what did you think?

what were you most impressed and least impressed with?

would you cruise on her again?

We were on the Enchantment in June and yes, I would definitely cruise on her again! We love the smaller ships, gives us more of the feel of being on the ocean. Loved the pool area and solarium. Least impressed with the gym, although it was usable, there were not many machines so sometimes had to wait, and the weight area seemed to compact. Food was very good.

Very nice ship, crew has always been great, like the chops grill and boleros lounge.

As you can see below have traveled on the Enchantment 3 previous times and shortly going again.

I was on the ship in June and liked it so much that I booked another cruise on her for next July. I loved the size of the ship -- it wasn't too big or too small. The crew was great and consistantly went above and beyond to make our vacation enjoyable.

I loved Chops grill, and the $25 per person was well worth it! I enjoyed the pool deck and solarium also. My favorite time of day was to sit in the Schooner bar prior to dinner and have a cocktail while watching us put out to sea.

The casino normally was a bit too smoky for my taste, so I really enjoyed the smoke free night there.

I hope you enjoy your cruise.

I was on the Enchantment in September. Chops was fantastic. The buffet food was the worst I have had yet. I never went to the main dining room. I really liked the musical shows. I never had a problem finding a chair by the pool. That was a first for me.

I loved Enchantment and would definitely cruise on her again. I wish she would go back to Ft. Lauderdale and cruise for 7 nights but that's not in the cards for a few years. The things I remember best are the magnificant pool deck, The very nice Atrium, The Schooner Bar and the Spotlight Lounge. What I didn't like was that there wasn't as much night time entertainment as you find on a larger ship with more venues. Excellent ship. :)

Huh? I don't get it! Why would you keep eating "bad" buffet food and not even try the MDR? Or did you eat at Chops every night and go hungry the rest of the trip?

well i'm glad to hear all (most) good things.

i'm booked on the allure right now, but have to cancel due to my boyfriend having commencement ceremony the day we're scheduled to leave. therefore, i'm debating switching to enchanment. I KNOW- HUGE DIFFERENCE! :)

at the time of sailing i'll be 21 and he will be 20.. so we are younger :)

i've been on the explorer, voyager and liberty of the seas.

are the nightly shows worth seeing? do they still have a lot schedule during the day? is there trivia and such? do they still do the quest?

sorry for so many questions. i'm just a little nervous about switching from huge ships to this one.. it seems that people still rave though

also.. is there any mini golf?

is there comedians?

is there a karaoke place?

any food places open late? i know on a lot they now have sorrentos pizza open til 2am. wondering if there's any late night/24 hour food places

thanks

No mini golf.Yes comedians, but they change from time to time. We had a late adult comedy show as well as an early family comedy show. We did not go to QWEST (sp) whuich is an adult fun time. Not sure about late eating.

We are again booked on her for 2 times in 2011.

Great to hear so many positive things about Enchantment. :)

The only negative I've heard is that you must arrive early at shows in order to get a seat but perhaps the same can be said about other ships of the same size/class. Public spaces were not expanded during the stretch.

I am going to hijack a little here, lol!!! I have also been considering the Enchantment to Bermuda. How easy is it to get from the airport to the port. Just returned from the Grandeur in Sept. and the transfer from Ft. Lauderdale airport to cruise port was so fast and easy, just a 10 min cab ride!! We loved Grandeur, so I am sure we would like Enchantment too. Can anyone compare to Explorer? Difference in ships, ease of getting to port, etc????? Thanks for any help you can give on this matter. So hard to figure out the next cruise!!!!!

The trip from the airport to the cruise terminal will be 15 -30 mins depending on traffic, time of day etc, just up I-95 from the airport.

The Explorer is larger and has many more amenities then the Enchantment, but if you loved the Grandeur you will love Enchantment.

Love, love, love Enchantment. She is my FAVORITE Ship!

I'm in my 20's and sailed on her for the first time when I was 25.

They have kareoke in the lounge behind the schooner bar a couple of nights, sometimes its adult and sometimes it's family. They also normally have a comedian and there is a late night adult version.

There are two main pools and an adults only solarium. I love the "bridges" on the very top deck that light up at night. Also on the sides of the pool they have these glass circles, you stand on top of them and can look all the way down to the water.. kinda freaky. Also they have two pool bars on the same level which is nice.

The Solarium has pizza, fries, burgers, cookies till very late into the evening, till 2am-3am... I believe.

The disco is great, it's up at the top of the ship in The Viking Crown and it's all windows up there. So much nicer then being in a "dungeon" or down below in a club with no windows like they have on the bigger ships.

Also one night the "club" will be all out doors by the pool for Dancing Under the Stars.

They also do alot of games in Boleros like Finish the Lyric and Battle of the Sexes.

Quest was done in the lounge behind The Schooner bar, which I very much prefer to having it in Studio B on the bigger ships. DON'T MISS QUEST!

I've always loved the buffet set up and never had any problems there. Main Dinning Room has always been fantastic, and it's nice to have Chops as an alternative.

The ship is not to big, not too small, the service has always been great.

I really miss her and wish she would come back home to Fort Lauderdale!

We are looking at taking our first RCCL cruise on the Enchantment and I don't see any reviews of her that mention a promenade deck and I also don't see it on the deck plans. I'm mainly looking for seating for sea gazing since I'm getting an inside or oceanview and not a balcony. Are there any outdoor or window spots other than the pool deck for sitting and ocean gazing? Any hidden quiet spots for reading or board game playing? Thanks!

Deck 5 is where you will find the Promenade deck.
