mdcrim Posted October 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2010 I have a quick question regarding onboard credits. I booked my cruise through an online travel agent who was offering $50 in onboard credits. Since this was not booked directly with Carnival, this credit does not show up on any of my documents besides my invoice from the travel agent. When I contacted Carnival to confirm their records show the onboard credit for my upcoming cruise, I was told that they could not answer any questions about my reservation and I would have to go back to my travel agent for confirmation. I though this was odd. Of course the travel agent confirmed the credit was there. Any opinions? Should I call back and talk to someone else? The Carnival rep was citing policies in place regarding their inability to speak with me without the consent of my travel agent.

Carnival will not talk to you if you booked with a TA.. if they say you have the OBC.. bring your invoice.. it should be on your TV if your ship has that option.. if not check with the pursers or guest services to verify... You can also if you don't believe your TA ask for a 3 way conference call...

mdcrim Posted October 5, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks so much for the quick responses. I had no idea. I guess I'll just have to trust the travel agent (not that I wouldn't but I really like to leave nothing to chance) and bring a copy of my documents from the travel agent. Thanks again. This board is the best!
ccb1969 Posted October 5, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2010 I had the same issue with my 100 dollar obc, could not see it in my e-docs.Called Ta and she sent me an email where I did see it was credited. I would call your TA and have them send you an email where you can see it and print it out for your cruise if you have any issues with it while onboard.
