Booked Posted October 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2010 A few questions - Does anyone know if the Sun Trolley goes as far as the Galleria Mall? (This will be a Saturday) Is it easy to get to the Galleria Mall from the Gallery stop on the Water Taxi (this sounds like a really fun way to get around, but is it practical as far as shopping goes?) Is it possible to walk to the water taxi stop from the Princess pier, or will we need to take a taxi to the stop? (And can we buy our tickets when we board?) Thanks again CA
rjscott Posted October 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2010 This site has great info on Ft Lauderdale, and specifically the Sun Trolley and the Water Taxi routes. http://www.sunny.org/gettingaround/
RuthlessBunny Posted October 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2010 If you're looking for transportation, check out Broward County transit, Bus #40 I believe...
bills blasters Posted October 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2010 You buy your tickets for the water Taxi after you get on the taxi. I don't think they take credit cards so you will have to have cash with you. I think you just have to go through a hotel and cross over to get to the Galleria Mall. Not far at all. Rare debsjc Posted October 6, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2010 The cheapest fare on the water taxi website is $15 for a 1 day pass. Would anyone know if they also sell a less expensive ticket, just for one trip?

Thanks again CA Not sure about the Sun Trolley to the Mall. However the water taxi stops at the rear of the Gallery One Hotel and you just walk through the hotel and then about a block and a half to the Galleria. The nearest water taxi stop from the pier is at the Hilton Marina. I suppose you could walk it since the Princess pier is at the front of the port but I would probably take a cab for about $10 or $12.

royalcruz Posted October 6, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 6, 2010 The only thing between the Gallery One water taxi stop and the Galleria is the hotel and a parking lot.
