Falmouth, Jamaica?

Once I get my eyesight back from being blinded by your original post, I think there's a thread running somewhere describing the new facility but that there are major problems on bringing it in before the arrival of the first crusie ships.

It may be on the Holland America board. The new port/berthing facility under construction is well underway but the town itself is in a sorry state and is certainly not in any shape to receive so many cruise ship visitors at this point.

Our itinerary for our November 2010 :Navigator cruise says Falmouth, but shore ex. all say Ocho Rios...will we be docking in Ocho Rios?

Yes. the port has already said it wont be ready until early next year the earliest. It will definitely not be open in 4-6 weeks from now.

I am going in Feb.And still no one is telling me any thing. All I see is things to do in ocho Rios.

I'd be freaking out! But.. if you have never been there I suggest the Dunns River Waterfall. I did it when I was 13 and loved it. It was simply amazing!

You think I am not freaking out I am. I do not like Jamaica the only reason I am going is because my Husband wants to go the only reason I said yes is because I was think we were going to Falmouth.

From what I've heard.. Falmouth is a veryy poor place. Why are you against Jamaica?

We loved Jamaica, especially Montego Bay. My sister and I took a tour of Rose Hall, home of Annie Palmer the White Witch of Jamaica. Here is information on it - http://www.scaryplace.com/Jamaica.html

and part of our tour was a stop to do shopping at The Shoppes of Rose Hall which has upscale shops, never like the stalls you find in the straw market. http://visitjamaica-usa.com/shopping/Shoppes-at-Rose-Hall.aspx
