light aqua colored stone necklace

I bought a necklace in Progresso at one of the shops at the pier. I bought it because I thought it was pretty and it was only $6.00. It is made out of

aqua colored semi-translucent beads that look almost like glass.

The store had other, similar necklaces in different colors. I saw others like it in several other shops as well.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be made out of? Glass or some sort of stone? It doesn't matter that much what it is since I like it, I'm

just curious.
