Jewel Coffee Question

Hobbins

Recommended Posts

Last time I was on the Jewel (April) they had two different types of coffee machines in the buffet, one giving a richer tasting brew. I know these were the ones loaded with whole beans (you can see them on top). Does anyone know if they are still there? I’ll be on board soon and need to know if I should bring a coffee back-up. As far as my tastes are concerned, the difference between them was that one type was good and the other not acceptable. Does anyone know?

I thought when I went on the jewel in september, they had the coffee dispenser with the coffee beans on top but the coffee was kind of bland. Once on the ship, you can contact John O'Hara, the housing director, to have someone bring you a coffee maker. His number shipside is 8888. Bring your own coffee and filters, as the coffee packet supplied with the coffee maker also made a bland tasting coffee.

i just got off the Jewel and yes they had two kinds of machines as you remember and they were doing beans in one and ground in the other and both were good. They had the coffee bar which I usually fork up for because some of the lines use syrup but this was not the case. There were lots of other issues on this sailing but coffee was not one of them,

May I ask what "issues" you had. We're sailing on the Jewel for the first time soon. If you'd prefer, your comment could be left in the Jewel thread I started.

Thanks! :)
