keithm Posted October 18, 2010 #80 Share Posted October 18, 2010 HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO keithm: No, not everyone will agree on things. In fact, most people disagree on most things. Slots on cruise ships are usually bad for winning. My wife love to play slot machines and Video Poker. Video Poker depends on the game and your adeptness as a Poker player. And of course some luck thrown in. By the way, I did win on slot machines several times. I like to play various games. I know you like Three Card Poker. I'll stop by that table some. Why some get upset over what someone else wears is beyond me. It doesn't matter to me what someone else wears. I am comfortable in my own skin. I have found that people are often critical of each other. This isn't the only cruise board that occurs on. It doesn't bother me at all. Some will agree with me and others won't. It isn't a big deal. Actually, most cruise lines claim they follow Vegas rules. Most don't. Since I mostly play, at the moment, at Atlantic City if they used those rules Atlantic City gives a better game. They have higher minimums though. On our first trip I arrived at this slot machine about 3 seconds before this woman. It was a dollar machine. She was adamant about playing it. I mean really nasty. So I gave in..bad choice, she won $600 on the second pull. When I commented (jokingly)about "sharing" a bit she told me to F-Off! As polite as I could, I told her if she ever spoke to me again on that voyage, I'd toss her overboard. I saw her many times & she never did! keithm Posted October 19, 2010 #81 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Molly Brown???? Yeah, kind of doesn't take any BS. I kind of feel that a lot of folks sometimes take things the wrong way. Sometimes humor can be taken as hostility. I do feel, that as nice as Casinoplayer probably is, he's probably mistaken some humor for sarcasm/hostility. I do feel that people are kind of getting too upset about his "writing style" I'd rather just not comment about it.The writing may be green & large, but I don't hear my neighbors complaining that my computor's too loud LOL! I really look forward to this trip(perhaps more than the others)as it's been a tough year for us here.(many friends & relatives passing)Lifes too short to get too upset about small things. If I do meet Jimsgirl, I hope to have the pleasure of purchasing a fine cocktail for her. I also look forward to playing a few rounds(hopefully winning!)in the casino with Casinoplayer. I hope to see you on the Nov.27'th voyage as well.
keithm Posted October 19, 2010 #82 Share Posted October 19, 2010 When I used the term outsider I was referring to horse racing, no one would not want you to enjoy your cruise and quite frankly I could not care less what you wear. But your words directed at Jimsgirl have resulted in an elderly lady travelling alone feeling that she cannot attend a social gathering that she very much enjoys just because she cannot face the thought of meeting you in person. You know this and you clearly do not care at all and have made no effort in reassuring her that you are all bark and no bite. I really think Jimsgirl will have a grand time. I really feel that Casinoplayer has no ill will to anyone on this ship. Perhaps we should try not to take things too seriously, but rather have a good time. None of us really knows what each other looks like. I may wear a derby on formal nights & Casinoplayer will wear his "gambling" hat. If we did not do this, then no one would have any idea who we are. Now if others wear derbys...well then you'll have to guess!
William Dean Posted October 19, 2010 #83 Share Posted October 19, 2010 As polite as I could, I told her if she ever spoke to me again on that voyage, I'd toss her overboard. I saw her many times & she never did! I have to say that I think the use or threat of violence is considerably worse than wearing a T shirt. But you seem proud of it. I seem to recall that you assaulted someone who was coming out of a lift at some stage. Or am I getting confused?
Salacia Posted October 19, 2010 #84 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Partial quote I have to say that I think the use or threat of violence is considerably worse than wearing a T shirt. By the way, I wear a Gambler crowned hat. Also, I will have a hat with a Gus crown. If there are some that get upset at wearing hats big deal. At least we now know how we could identify each other. Watch, now others will go out and purchase Derby's, Fedora's, Gambler crowned hats, and Gus crowned hats. Someone going on a cruise with me next year just came off their first trip on the QM2. They said the food wasn't all that good. The guest speakers were interesting, most people went to the shows, but, the Casino was nearly empty. That might be a good sign. Of course, there may have been little action in the Casino just on that cruise.

I did hear people grumbling about the quality dropping in the Britannia. We're doing the Queens Grill this time(always wanted to at least once.)Hopefully if it is dropping..complaints will be properly addressed. I've heard(first hand) of the food quality really dropping on Celebrity(they were noted for good food)so it's plain this is occurring on other lines. With all of us being a bit more picky, I hope Carnival Corp.(and others)are reading thses posts!
