drbabe Posted October 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2010 Husband and son (14) who are fit will be in PEI (dock in Charlottestown) this Wednesday, 10/20/10. They enjoy hiking and views. Where should they go, and is there a bus to get there or should they rent a car?
maryann ns Posted October 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2010 I don't have an answer except to google this. I just did and found lots of sites. You will need to rent a car. There is not much in the way of bus service. To me the most beautiful area is on the north shore. However I am not sure you can get into the national park at this time of year. MonaCD Posted October 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2010 There are numerous, beautiful trails throughtout the Island, the most noteable being the Confederation Trail, it runs the Island tip to tip along old rail beds. You will find the most definitive list of trails here http://islandtrails.ca/trails/ There are trails and paths throughout the city of Charlottetown for which they can likely get a map at the cruise terminal. But if they want to do a more rural trail, they will definitely need a car or taxi to take them there.
