tendering

my friend is going on the Carnival Trumiph in march. He will be visting San juan, st thomas and san marteen. I want to know if he will have to tender into any of these ports of call. Thanks alot for any info i get.

We went to all these ports on RCL back in June. We didn't have to tender and we didn't see anyone else tendering either. There were plenty of docks for the ships.

The only time I've ever seen a ship tender was when the Norway was still in service and used tenders at St. Maarten. These days everyone seems to dock at the ports you mention.

Nope, no tendering.

On our stop at St. Maarten last month there were 8 ships already in port when we arrived on the Victory...but room for only four ships to dock at the pier. We thought that we may have to tender in, but the last open spot at the pier was reserved for the Victory, even though we didn't arrive until 10:30.
