ejeffo Posted October 19, 2010 #26 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Simply, because my next cruise is on one of them! :D:D
CapeCodCruiser Posted October 19, 2010 #27 Share Posted October 19, 2010 I am really looking forward to the Miracle as well. I too keep hearing about the great layout - and I love the Deck 3 promenade! Best place for an evening walk.
Poomah Posted October 19, 2010 #28 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Spirit class is just the right size - plenty of room and lots to do. Did enjoy fish and chips on the Glory and would like to see the big screen - but heck - any ship will do as long as I can cruize~
CrusinCyndi Posted October 20, 2010 #29 Share Posted October 20, 2010 We LOVE the Aft Wrap Vista Suite Deck 7!!!! Best cabin we've ever stayed in and ditto to Mr. Pete's response. DH and I prefer the Aft Wrap Vista Suite Deck 4 ! It has the overhang so you can sit on the balcony and not be in the blazing sun if that is your choice. sbnuggie Posted October 20, 2010 #30 Share Posted October 20, 2010 We are going to try the Conquest Class in January. I am little concerned it will be too big, but I am sure we will have a good time anyways, since any cruise is a good cruise. After our first two cruises were on spirit classes, then went to the Conquest last May, I must say I was disappointed. Lines everywhere, loud on the Lido, quirky dining room in the middle of decks. Your mileage may vary, but we definately wouldn't do a Conquest class cruise again, although we are going on the splendor which is similar to Conquest class. Heirloom Posted October 20, 2010 #31 Share Posted October 20, 2010 We've done Legend twice, and Pride. Will surely do Spirit and Miracle in the future. Destiny was pretty good too. Freedom was overcrowded.......and on that note Dream was VERY overcrowded. Spirit class ships will win you over IMHO......if you dislike the following: 1. Long lines for buffet food. 2. Having to show up very early just to get a decent seat for any show. 3. Dealing with ludicrous chair-hogging near tiny pools. 4. Unusually long waits for elevators. 5. Understaffed waitstaffs in Dining Room. 6. Finding yourself amongst very large numbers of people...wherever . 7. Balconies that overlook a promenade walking deck vs. all open ocean. Dream will give you ALL of above, Freedom SOME of above, and spirit class ships: NONE of the above. Happy Carnival cruising, whatever your choice ! valtandc Posted October 20, 2010 Author #32 Share Posted October 20, 2010 Wow. confirmed how much many of you love the spirit class ship. i've always wanted to go on a jumbo ship but may choose not to. the crowds is what gets me. I love cruising but when overcrowded hate it. just like i would never go to disney during a holiday i don't want a way overcrowded ship. why would you.
