Review of Belize river wildlife tour

Hi guys, We are going on the Ryndam in November and need advise on shore excursions. We seek wildlife viewing but our daughter has back issues so we can't do anything too rough. Thanks

I'm looking for reviews, too. We will be traveling with DH's parents who need something low-key. I hope someone will post their experiences! :)

We did the Lamanai tour up the New River back in 2000. There is some walking through the jungle but not strenuous at all mostly flat ground. You do get a chance to climb one of the pyamids if you want, but some chose not to. As far as the wildlife it was GREAT! Going up the New River we saw many species of birds, even the Jabaru which is Belizes national bird. It stood about 6' tall in a nest the size of a Volkswagon. We saw 3 large Crocs. Tons of bats just hanging on the trees & a small group of about 6 Howler monkeys crashing through the tops of the trees. We have done 14 cruises & this was by far our most memorable tour.
