kentuckyphotogirl Posted October 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2010 My in-laws are going with us on the Navigator next month and they like to gamble. We don't-so we don't know the answer to their questions. They want to know how it works in the casino-do you use your seapass card to insert into the machines? Also, what if you win? Do they credit it to your seapass account and if you have a big credit (high hopes!), do they give you cash back if you want it instead of a credit on your credit card? Thanks! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
cb at sea Posted October 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2010 You use cash....insert the bills and start playing the credits! If you win (highly unlikely!!!) you will get (on most ships) a ticket out....some machines still pay out in coin, but most are cash/ticket in--ticket out. Jimnbigd Posted October 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Carnival ships let you use your ship's card to play, and don't charge any extra for this. RCCL still requires cash, and charges if you get a cash advance on your ship's card. However, I found on Carnival I played a lot more and lost a lot more -- it is too easy to keep playing with all you have to do is have it charged to your ship account. RCCL pays back in cash. I don't know how they handle a really large payout -- never had more than $250 paid out. :( Note: Casinos can be very smokey at times.

ccruisequeen Posted October 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Like most casinos- you keep feeding the machines, & maybe they will "toss their cookies" back if you're lucky:eek::rolleyes:

Never been lucky enough to know over that amount.
LBumb Posted October 19, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 19, 2010 usually the ships have many table games with small minimum bets.

Yep - they pay out in cash at least to this amount (slot buddy won about 1,000 on the Freedom). I can't attest to the Navigator (would find it strange to be different though), they had a LOT of the newer (WMS machines) games with the bonuses, on the Freedom so it wasn't the straight old three reel pull slot like NCL had. We had a good time and came out even during the course of our cruise.
