Got my first upsell fairy call.

My husband and I are leaving on the Fascination in about 37 days and I just got a call from the Upsell Fairy offering us a GS for $210 per person over the price we paid for the 8D.

 

I went and looked online and saw that we'd save $179 per person from the price the GS are going for now.

 

He was also telling me that he was quoting me the "employee" price.

 

We declined because we like our cabin and I'd rather spend the money on a cabana and having a good time.

Based on what I paid for my Cat. 8D, I would have asked if they would do it for $150 pp and then work up to $200. I wouldn't pay anymore pp than that.

 

I don't know what you originally paid, but I think you made the correct decision. ;)

I have heard many people getting calls or email from the upsell fairies.

 

Just curious, did you book through Carnival or a TA?

 

And have you completed your online boarding docs? Thanks :)

I would have turned that down too. Now if it had been $210 total I would have probably taken it.

If he had made the offer for $210 we would have said sold and paid him right then and there. I even asked him is that the lowest you can do because I'd really like to get into that cabin tonight. He said nope so I said nope.

 

As for booking we booked online ourselves and have completed the docs.

Knowing that you would like the better stateroom, if they don't get any takers, they may call you back with a better offer. :)
