NFL Football

I'm sailing the CB in November and have a question about NFL football games. Will games be shown on MUTS and/or ship wide? I know Carnival TV is based out of Denver, so they show whatever those in Denver get, like the Denver local news. Is Princess TV based somewhere or is there someway to tell which games will be shown? If my game isn't shown, will I be able to watch the game on my lap top? (I have NFL Sunday Ticket to Go.) That would be about 180 minutes of internet time. Do the suites get free internet on lap tops or just the internet cafe?

They do show games on occasion on MUTS, but I wouldn't rely on it if you're looking for a specific team. As for your computer (the free internet for suites works on either your laptop or in the internet cafe), the connection on the ship is painfully slow and streaming video is extremely unlikely to work properly. Box scores are likely to be your only option unless the team you're following happens to get one of the few TV slots on the ship.

The internet connection at sea is like old dial up connections. And it can be very slow if a lot of people are online at the same time.

Muts does show football. But how they decide teams I do not know. The games are also in the rooms. True story from our Panama Canal cruise. The year the Saints were undefeated the game was on Muts. The last minutes, the Saints were losing, and the Muts staff turned the channel to another game that had not even started yet. People had to go to their rooms to finish that game.

You kind of have to play it by ear since the staff is more into soccer than football.

We have watched Steeler games on MUTS on many of our cruises. But, sometimes, they don't show particular football games. However, they also show football games on the TV in the cigar bar near the casino.

On our Panama Canal cruise last December they showed four games each weekend. You could watch them either in your cabin or sometimes on MUTS. Also, the cigar lounge had that game. On Sunday they carried an early and late afternoon game, usually the one that was seen by most of the country. Then they also showed the Sunday night and Monday night game.
