Colo Cruiser Posted October 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2010 That was fun to watch but it sure looked windy back there. Looking at the table cloth I thought it was pretty calm actually. You could hear the wind though.
Northender Posted October 23, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Wow, that was fun. Is the UBD a fixed menu? It was windy, I think the waiter tied down the tablecloth.:) But I bet it was nice and warm.....45 here today:(
daydreamer16 Posted October 23, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks Colo Cruiser! We were thinking of doing this dinner on our upcoming cruise in february--we're celebrating our 35th anniversary! I'm a little concerned about the wind though! Colo Cruiser Posted October 23, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Those aft side cabins do have a little more wind as there is no partition on the back side of the balcony. ;)
2 to cruise Posted October 23, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks Colo Cruiser! We were thinking of doing this dinner on our upcoming cruise in february--we're celebrating our 35th anniversary! I'm a little concerned about the wind though! It's lovely, you should do it! We have had the dinner four times and unfortunately, it has always been windy every time. We do book mini-suites and it can easily be set up in your room if weather does not permit. Enjoy!:)

It was windy, I think the waiter tied down the tablecloth.:) But I bet it was nice and warm.....45 here today:( Yes there is a set menu however.... The room service supervisor will call you a day or so before to firm up the menu or make any changes. You can make some changes. :) I saw him tie it down but I thought it was still loose anough to show if the wind was a factor, it really was not moving very much. grammy c Posted October 24, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 24, 2010 Those aft side cabins do have a little more wind as there is no partition on the back side of the balcony. ;) You are correct Colo Cruiser. We have had one of these cabins several times and we find them very windy. Very nice, but would have had the table set up a little more forward of the balcony, closer to the door, Maybe a little ackward to serve, but definitly less wind. None the less a great experience.
