robtx100 Posted October 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2010 We booked Early Saver earlier this year for 1/15/2011 cruise. Final payment is 11/1/2010, and I just found out there may be a conflict at work for one of us. We have family/friend (3) going with us in a separate cabin. We have until 11/1 to change dates with only a $50/pp fee and we are willing to pay the $250 for us and the other cabin and select another date. If we change dates and loose the $50/pp, does Carnival require another per person deposit for the other cruise that we change to? I've read the contract, it is not stated. I've read Carnival's faq's, it is not stated. I've done a search on here and can't find anything. Do they use the credit toward the deposit? We won't know until Monday evening if we need to change for sure, just trying to line up everything in advance.

If you cancel and book later, you will need a new deposit
firefly333 Posted October 24, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2010 If your PVP is good AND you cancel and rebook all at the same time you should be able to get it applied to the cost. If you wait to rebook later, they want to add it all as OBC so you spend it onboard. You should be able to do it. np.
robtx100 Posted October 24, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted October 24, 2010 thanks. This will be fun. Find out Monday evening if we have to change, coordinate 5 people"s vacation, find an itinerary and ship all five agree on, and do this all in a few days. Thankfully, no one has booked airfare and hotel yet.
Boatman10 Posted October 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 25, 2010 I have a situation similar to this. We booked early saver and may have to cancel. I know the deposit is non refundable, but will it apply to a future cruise and how long do we have to book that cruise? Thanks.
