weloverunning Posted October 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2010 I have a credit card which earns 3% back on all charges. It expires on Dec. 9th. We are going on the Glory 11/28. I was looking into buying $3000 or so of funship dollars and paying for them now to guarantee I receive my 3% from the cc company before my credit card expires. However, after reading the funship rules, I am not sure about using them 7) This certificate may not be used to pay for games of chance and or similar activities. When used as an onboard credit it can not be used to pay for gratuities. We spend a lot of time in the casino. We siphon our money through the slots to get cash without paying the service charge and it is added to our S&S card as a purchase. I also thought these dollars could be used for gratuities. Has anyone ever been denied using their prepaid funship dollars for either the casino or gratuities? Maybe #7 just means you can't hand a certificate to a dealer or room steward for tips?? happy cruzin Posted October 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2010 I have notice the same statement - when I have purchased. We give - and have received - funship dollars as gifts on many occasions. We take them to the pursers desk and they have always applied ours to our S&S account and the credit comes off of the bottom line. No special category for the funship dollars - so I would not be concerned. I don't think that you can take the funship dollars to the casino to cash them in - which is why they say that about games of chance. But when it is applied to your account you can use them for any on board purchases.
