Nassau and Freeport Via the Conquest

Just a quick question: In Nassau, is the straw market within walking distance of where the ship docks? And is there a good beach within walking distance of the ship on Freeport, and Nassau? Or do we have to take a taxi? We are going to be there in a couple of weeks.

The strawmarket is very close to the ship's dockage. Walk out of the terminal, turn right, wade through the various taxi drivers and keep walking until you see Senor Frog's. It's on your left.

As for a beach, I know the British Colonial Hilton is a bit further on from the strawmarket and they offer a day pass to use their beach and pool. You'll need a taxi to get to anything other than that, I think.

There are no close beaches to Freeport. You'll need a taxi.
