Coolers

Do most people bring small soft sided coolers on their cruise? We have children and thought it might be useful when going on shore to bring some drinks.

I have brought one before, but now we just bring the refillable water bottles instead and put them in our backpack.

I've never brought a cooler on a ship...most have a fridge, if you need one. But, we aren't folks who have to carry liquid with us every single minute of the day! We figure, if we get thirsty, we'll find a drink! Works for us!

we carried one last time to use on the port days. it came in handy so your drinks didnt get hot. we also got sandwiches from room service and took them with the eat for lunch. (we were allowed to take the sandwiches off the boat but could not bring any uneaten ones back aboard.)

I brought one on my last cruise. I didn't end up using it.

We take one. Very nice to have cool drinks of the type we like on excursions. Use it in the room to keep the wine cool. Fridges really aren't that useful, as they do not really keep things cold.

I would hate to have to lug even a small cooler around....there will be places to get drinks, if you get thirsty!
