Estuary Cruise & Tropical Birds in Maztlan

My friend booked this tour for us through Princess and I was wondering if anyone had done this one before. My other excursions are not with the ship for the other ports, but she really wanted to go on this and I am hoping it is worth it.

We did this tour last April and had a great time! The boat ride was fun and the cruise thru the swamp remined us of the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland. Any minute we expected to have an elephant squirt water at us. You dock at Stone Island and then take a fun ride across the island on a wagon pulled by a tractor ( our guide called it a Mexican Cadillac.) . It goes right down on the sand as you head up the beach to a great lunch that is included on the tour. Pay the $2 extras and get the Jumbo Shrimp! It was worth it. After lunch you then have an hour or so to explore, swim or just relax on the beach before you head back on the wagon to the boat and your return to the ship. Our Captain Pollo was very funny and intertaining. There is a help yourself cooler on the boat filled with ice cold beer, soda and water. We will diffently do this tour again on our next visit...
