Pack n Go question - new to Carnival

We are about to take our first Carnival cruise, having cruised NCL and RCCL. I did a search but did not find the answer to my question, although I am sure it's out there somewhere.

 

We booked an inside Pack n Go rate. We are cruising 12/11 on the Ecstacy, so we are well inside final payment date. We have been assigned an inside on Upper deck.

 

A senior rate has now appeared for both insides and ocean view. It appears I can now get an ocean view for either the exact same price or a modest increase.

 

Will I be allowed to upgrade from a Pack n Go inside booking to Senior Ocean View? Thanks for any help, just hoping I could find out before I call Carnival in the morning.

No - not if you're inside the final payment deadline.

You should have no problem upgrading for the same or more money.

 

What you won't get inside the final payment date is a price reduction.

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to upgrade to an ocean view on a different deck (senior rate) with no problem at all. The pricing was exactly the same as I had paid previously.
