Tour Guide in Florence

Hello!

 

Just wondering if anyone has every hired a tour guide/taxi to drive them around Florence for the day? Does anyone know of a tour guide company that they could recommend? How much something like this cost? Or would it better to rent our own car? Thanks for your help.

Back in 2003 we used http://www.driverinrome.com for a private tour for 6 of us

to Florence & Pisa. They were excellent. Very easy to deal with by email or phone, the guide was delightful and they also arranged tickets for the Accademia to see David. Mueseum tickets & food were obviously extra.

The van met us at the port & brought us back in plenty of time. We also got tickets thru the leaning tower of pisa website & went to the top.Good fun.

A memorable day out.

There may be other companies, but Daniele & his guys did us fine.
