Any excursions, spa packages, dining packages, etc. that you book online -- goes directly onto your credit card.

You have up to 5 days before the cruise sails to cancel anything and the refuns will go back onto your credit card. After that time you will be get shipboard credit.

ALSO -- once on the ship if you change your mind on Embarkation about an excursion you can cancel it without any penalities -- after embarkation day -- there are penalites -- 10% of the cost of the cruise.

As for dining in the speciality restaurants -- no poenalities -- just shipboard credit.

I do not do the spa or beauty salon so can not answer anything about that.

Shore excursions are charged when you buy them. You can cancel until about 5-10 days prior to sailing with the amount credited to your credit card. Cancellations after then may be subject to a fee (10%???), the rest will be credited to your on board account. The HAL site has the specifics. You can also call the 800 number for shore ex for more info.
