A few questions regarding the Oosterdam

But the gyms on volendam and Amsterdam had precor cardio equipment and mostly Cybex weight machines. There was mostly ONE weight machine for each major muscle group. Both had full sets of free weights, foam rollers, balance balls and a Reformer. A. Also had Bosus. The only muscle groups missing in the machines were AB- AD- ductors. (So I bring my own band).

Thanks for the update on the GYM! Even though i'm on vacation I still find a way to get some gym time in to counter all the food/alcohol consumption!

I have group on the Oosterdam 22-29Jan. Based on my research the vessel is similar in design to the Carnival Spirit Class. Remember that HAL is owned by Carnival Corp. We are looking forward to it and my wife and I (ages 55 & 49 respectively) always look forward to dancing in the evening. We are excited also because the ship cruises into Bahia Magdalena for 1.5 hrs of possible whale sightings. This is the only ship I know that does that. If you look on a map the bay is north of Cabo.

I'm glad to hear it is similar to the Spirit class of the carnival ships. I have been on 2 spirit class ships, the pride and spirit by CCL and have loved both ships! I have never heard of Bahia Magdalena before but It should be interesting to see some sea life. Every cruise I have been on we have seen dolphins along side the ship, sharks and every other one have seen a whale.

We were on the 11-06 "O" cruise. We had two happy hours every day which was half off drinks as opposed to buy one get one. It will be on your daily planner. If I remember correctly the first one was 3:30-4:30 in the Pinnacle Bar and 10:30-11:30PM in the Piano Bar.

We docked next to your ship the Saturday after the disaster. All we can say is sorry you took the wrong dam ship. Glad you are going on HAL. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Glad to hear you joined the roll call.
