Where to go in Cozumel?

First time cruiser needs your help. I know there are so many things to do in Cozumel, but I need your help to choose where to go.

We have a group of five people, including two seniors and one toddler. We will be cruising with Esctasy in February and will have 7-8 hours in Cozumel (from 8:00am to 4:00pm). We are interested in beautiful scenary the most. Since we have a 3.5 years old, we don't want to rush. Shopping is not our priority, either.

Where to go? Which travel agency is recommended? Any suggestion is very much appreciated!

Chankanaab might be good for all of you. Beach, pool, snorkeling from the beach, restaurant/bar, mini replicas of the Mayan Ruins, gardens. They also have dolphins, sea lions, etc. Quick 10-15 minute cab ride from the pier.

Paradise Beach is also nice, just not as many things to see/do. The most beautiful part of the island, in my opinion is the East Side...much less developed with breathtaking scenery. I'm not sure the best way to see that. We did it as part of the Cozumel Bar Hop bus, and I'm not thinking that would be the best for your group;):D

Best way to find something is to read this section of the boards...you'll find lots of info and suggestions...

My husband and I have been to Cozumel several times - I would suggest a way to go to the other side of the island - we went on the Cozumel Bar Hop, which was wonderful, although with a toddler, not sure it's in your itinerary - maybe renting a jeep to get to the other side - the beaches are so much nicer!!! The Bar Hop stopped at bars, but they were bars on the beach and it was the BEST!

We took our DS (7), DS (4) and DD (2) to Nachi Cocum and all had a terrific time. We booked through Island Marketing based on recommendations from this board.

It was an awesome day, beautiful quiet. The kids liked the pool and beach. It took us about 15 minutes from the pier to get there so you would have plenty of time. I think it opens at 9 a.m.

Very good service and they call cabs for you. Very low stress day!!

Thank you! Low stress is so important to parents with toddlers. :)
