jenpet Posted November 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2010 Hi We have booked a cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse & our cabin is 3141 on the Port side on Plaza deck. We are a bit concerned as it is the first cruise out of 5 that we are on a deck where there are not cabins above & below us. We are worried there maybe noise from the Promenade Deck shops above us. We were advised to book a cabin on the Starboard side under the casino by a high st travel agent. But we booked on line with our regular company & they advised the cabin we have booked. I e mailed Celebrity & they have said that the cabin we have booked is not on their 'noisy cabin' list!!!!!!!! Please can anyone advise? Thanks jenpet
scotslizzy Posted November 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2010 Hi Do not have any direct knowledge of this particular cabin no but if you check the stick thread by doing a search you may find some info that will put your mind at ease or at least give you thr opportunity to change cabins. We have sailed on Eclipse in June and she is a lovely elegant ship.. Enjoy your cruise . Scotslizzy
2theship Posted November 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2010 I would think that your present location would be better than on the other side of the ship. The shops don't open before 9:00 a.m. most days and close before it gets very late. One the other hand, the casino will remain open as long as people want to gamble and cabins on the starboard side are right under slot machines. Probably a location with cabins above and below would be quieter but I don't think you're in a noisy location. You might want to be aware that since you're on the same floor as the Moonlight Sonata restaurant, there will be traffic going past your door before and after dinner time. I know that many nights we wound up taking the elevator to the Plaza Deck before walking aft to dinner.

AlanAllyn Posted November 24, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 24, 2010 Check the sticky on the top of the Celebrity page which lists comments about many, many cabins on Solstice class ships. It should apply to the Eclipse.
