Executive Car rental

We are also looking at renting a car from Executive in Calica. we are a group of 9 (7 adults, 2 children.) I think it will be less expensive to rent 2 small cars then 1 big van. Can anyone help me with the makes of these cars and what they might be comparable to in the US. WE are not looking for anything fancy, we just need them to get from Calica to Tulum and back.

Economy- Altos

Compact - Pointer City, Tsuru or Verna

We will have 3 adults & 2 children in 1 car and 4 adults in the 2nd. My sister who barely weighs 100 pds will be the third adult in the 1st car and will be able to squeeze in the back with the kids (7 & 5). I think we will probably rent 1 either economy or compact and 1 mid size.

Thanks for any help.

I think it's possible the 'Altos' you mention is actually the Hyundai Atos. See here for pix:

The VW Pointer City:
