What is shallowist depth that a cruise ship can go into to dock at the ports? When we docked in Key West and Freeport on the Conquest earlier this month, we could see from our aft balcony all the mud that was being drudged up from the bottom while docking. I was wondering how shallow those ports are. Thank you in advance to anyone that can answer!!:D

The Conquest Class ships draw about 27 feet of water and, typically, they won't make port where there's less than 40 feet of water.

What you saw is normal. It's the activity of the thrusters that cause the silt to be stirred up...
