Looking into Coral Breeze Caye Caulker tour that offers two snorkel spots. (Coral Gardens and Stingray Alley.) Are they both worth the time and money or is is possibly better to just use Coral Breeze to get to the Caye and then just snorkel at the split? Full tour with lunch is 75.00 pp. Getting dropped off at the Caye is 45.00pp. with lunch.

It is not so much the $$$ i just don't want to waste time snorkeling and seeing nothing but sand. Used Eco this past year to go to Bannister and also one snorkel spot and there was not a fish to be seen!!! Thanks all who have any input.

holdon216, if you snorkle just off the beach on Caye Cauker all you will get is grass and sand........we did the Stingray Alley and Caye trip combined and you will have two stops on the snorkle tour.....one which lets you play with the stingrays and the 2nd which gets you into deeper water with lots of nice coral and fish.......worth the extra money IMHO.

The water taxi from the Port to the Caye was also very enjoyable.

The split has interesting snorkeling. There is some debris , star fish and fish. you will not see the reef, that is out a mile off shore. for a fun day bring your gear and hang out at the lazy lizard at the split.

If you want the coral, sharks and stingrays, take the tour.

I snorkeled at the split and, while a strong swimmer, found the current too strong for it to be enjoyable. The coral gardens/shark ray alley was more fun and then having lunch and exploring Caye Caulker on foot was a great way to spend the afternoon.

We did the 2 snorkel stops and lunch and had the best time. We saw soooo much sea life. Besides all the colorful fish we saw, eel, 2 sharks, lobster, barracuda, sea turtles and tons of stingray. The food was pretty good at Caye Caulker too!
