TravelguruDanville Posted December 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2010 Hi fellow travelers, Several of us who have "met" on cruise critic want to meet each other for dinner before we board our ship in March. We are all staying in Kowloon. Need suggestions for a nice restaurant, hopefully with a fabulous view, that will have great food at reasonable prices and be quiet enough so we can talk? Many thanks! Bufrenee Posted December 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2010 The Salisbury next to the Peninsula has a very good Buffet for under $40 pp. The have a carvery with prime rib,Japanese Sushi, and a large variety of Asian dishes. The do have some tables that are quiet and have a great harbour view where you can catch the laser show. Dependant on how many in your party and when you may have to call up and book as soon as you arrive in HK If it is strictly Chinese you want go to the Jade Garden in Star House next to the cruise terminal. Again you get a great view of the harbour from there. There are others and is very dependant on how much you want to spend and what sort of food you want. Enjoy! kuldalai Posted December 5, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2010 CAFE DECO in the Galleria Shopping Centre up at Victoria Peak has good food, casual atmosphere, extensive menu . Great views of Hong Kong harbour at night . Go up on the Peak Tram and cross the road at ground level to Galleria SC . Cafe Deco is on the First Floor . Do a Google search, we always book our window table well in advance before arriving in Hong Kong . After dinner for a spectacular view of the lights come down in the No. 15 Public Bus which departs from the basement under the Galleria Shopping Centre. Bail out at ADMIRALTY for MTR to Kowloon side, or stay on-board for the Star Ferry across the harbour .
PaulaJK Posted December 5, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 5, 2010 If you enjoy spicey food, HUTONG has excellent food [sugar cane shrimp], nice decor and floor to ceiling windows which offer a fabulous view of neon HK.
