squirelen Posted February 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2005 Can someone help us when filling in Form I-94W Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver Arrival Form. We shall arrive off aircraft from UK at San Juan and from there go straight on to ship. So what do we enter on form at Items 10 & 11 wherein it requests an address etc. whilst in the states. We have tried to find this info everywhere to no avail.
cruisingmimi Posted February 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2005 Hi squirelen, Are you just doing a cruise? Will you be traveling to the states? I would just put "none" or "tourist" on the form if you are actually not going to the states. You are technically just a tourist unless you are staying in the states. Hope this helps. cruisingmimi Posted February 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2005 Hi again, I just found this website that may be helpful to you. http://travel.state.gov/ Perhaps you could also check the cruiseship website. I think I have seen info there. Good luck.
cruisingmimi Posted February 24, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2005 Here's another website for you to check out. It has a link to the particular cruise lines. If this does not help, I would ask your travel agent to find out the info for you or email/telephone the cruise line. They should be able to assist you. http://www.destinationoceans.com/immigration_info.asp

squirelen Posted February 24, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted February 24, 2005 Hi cruisingmimi. Thanks for info, Tried those - no help. Will now try an airline, cruise line did not know - but could be singular person answering e-mail. Will keep board informed. Never know perhaps an immigration offier might read. cruisingmimi Posted February 26, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2005 I've been trying to get info for you. One website said to just put in the name of your hotel while visiting in the states so I would think just putting in your cruise ship info would cover it. Have you contacted your embassy, perhaps they can advise you. I don't know as I would worry about it too much, you will have to go thru customs anyway and I am sure they can advise you. Flyer Posted February 26, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2005 When we go the other way. London, Copenhagen etc. we always list the Ship name and have never had a problem.
squirelen Posted March 1, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Thank you all for your suggestions . I have now had a definitive reply from Virgin Atlantic with whom we shall be flying. they quote "You will need to enter name of company and name of vessel in the address section." Please note this is only when joining the ship direct from the airport. All other times if staying in a hotel overnight we just enter that name and address. Thanks from a very wet & miserable Buckinghamshire village.
cruisingmimi Posted March 3, 2005 #12 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Hi squirelen, So happy you got your immigration question straightened out! That's a big relief to you. I know that I want to have everything done b4 we cruise so you don't have to worry about it later. I did read that if on a land vacation just put the hotel address in but could never find ship info. Makes sense tho. Have a great cruise. It's a cold and lots of snow day here in New England! Sun is out though & that's a big plus.
