Christmas Eve Services on board?

My husband are I are sailing on Sensation over Christmas. We wondered if anyone was aware of a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day service that is offered on the Carnival ships?

It is a hit or miss on ships. RCCL and Celebrity I believe make an effort on major religious holidays to have a priest or rabbi. However, for Carnival, I haven't really heard what they do. It could be this ship will, and the next one won't.

I don't think they will have a service on the ship. BUT....their t.v. reception comes from Denver, Colorado, and you can watch all kinds of services on the T.V. in your cabin. That is my advise.

 

HAL is the only ship that provides a priest or minister on their cruise ships.

 

Some people take their own Ministers with them on the cruise ships and have a group private service and everyboy is welcomed to join them. I have seen that on Carnival ships.

Maybe you can organize one if there isn't. I'm sure there will be others that would like to attend. We will be doing this on Sunday for worship during our cruise, whether it is just our family or others would like to join us.

We were on NCL on Easter and they had a Sunrise Service.

If I remember correctly from John Heald's Facebook page, the only ship that has a Christmas service definitely lined up is Carnival Freedom. I think it's difficult to schedule, since most clergy are in demand to do services in land-based parishes on the major holidays. Our parish priest has sailed on X and offered services, but his sailings are always in the "off season."
