jchristie Posted December 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2010 hey all - I have posted in both Carnival & NCL threads different questions. Here is my debate at this point: we are taking family cruise in May 2011. Leaving out of New Orleans. Our choices are 5 day on Carnival Triumph or 7 day on NCL Spirit. Now, I have done pricing and NCL is cheaper for the 7 day but is only about $250 more than the 5 day on Carnival..... what to do? I have never sailed NCL before, but have CCL. It will be a family of 5 (getting two rooms) either a balcony and interior across the hall or two connecting balconies. The ages of the kids are 10, 12, & 13 at the time of sailing. cb at sea Posted December 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2010 Personally, I'd much rather do CCL than NCL....but 7 days vs. 5 is a no-brainer. Any cruise is better than none, unless airfare costs more than the cruise!
QLUVS2CRUZ Posted December 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2010 I would definitely look at the ports and the activities available that you want to do. Also look at what the ship has to offer if that is important to you. We actually chose to take a shorter cruise coming up because of these things...for us it was between a 6 night and an 8 night, and we chose the 6 night. You can also read the reviews, but just keep in mind people have many varying opinions!
Colorado Kat Posted January 1, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2011 I'd go for the longer cruise.
